Internal endoscope diagnosis
An Endoscope is a tiny camera on the end of a flexible tube that our vets can use to look inside your pet’s body and even take small biopsies to help diagnose health problems accurately.
The endoscopic tube can be inserted via an animal’s throat to look inside the throat and around the digestive system, as well as being carefully inserted into internal organs to take a biopsy. Our endoscope is a highly specialised piece of equipment that many vets don’t have direct access to.
Specialised tools help decide on accurate treatment
Seeing what’s going on inside your pet can be crucial to deciding the correct course of treatment, especially as animals cannot describe their feelings to us.
Head vet Kate Morawska and the team use endoscopes, in conjunction with our other in-house facilities at our Poole surgeries like x-ray and ultrasound, for detailed internal examination and more accurate diagnosis.
