Pet passports & travel advice
Our vets can issue a Pet Passport and do the necessary health checks and vaccinations for when you are planning on taking your pet abroad with you on holiday.
When you come in for your consultation we will let you know about the latest changes in the Pet Travel Scheme. You can even book a reminder for when your pet’s rabies boosters are due.
Plan pet travel well in advance
It’s important that you check the government website D.E.F.R.A. for the most up-to-date travel advice for the countries you are travelling to and from as requirements at each border may differ, including coming back into the UK.
You should also book your Pet Passport Consultation at least 4 months before your trip is due to commence.

Our nurses run free Travel Clinics where you can come and talk about the best ways to protect your pets from diseases they may be exposed to in other countries. We will also prepare a bespoke parasite prevention programme to minimise the risk of your pet picking up anything nasty whilst on holiday.
Microchipping
If you’re planning a holiday overseas with your pet you must microchip them if they are not chipped already.
